the title is dedicate to shannon Hoon, former singer of the Blind Melon. This song is one of my favorites if all time, make sure to check it out! [link]
the entrance of the Okazaki castle is not very photogenic, mostly, the castles have a open front: meaning : not high trees in front. But this in particular,it's not a clean view.I choose a day when the trees could look good enough,to be a plus in the picture. So,of course it had to be in the autumn, when momiji is red and beautiful!

I like the colors. They soften the castle and add to the majestic mood of the shot. I especially like the orange tree. Just the right amount of color.

Beautiful shot! :D

Interesting angle!
Just curious. The guy at the lower right-hand corner. Is that a tourist or did you ask him to pose next to the castle??

you should stop by Aizuwakamatsu Castle in the winter. I've seen sooo many cool pics of it.

true, but there's one little "why' I haven't gone there yet.
besides it's the distance, which means that i could go to Kyoto/himeji/hiroshima/Okayama( i really want to go to Okayama) with the same distance. On the TOkyo side it doesn't have much traditional things ,well ... and i i stop at Tokyo,i will have t go to Harajuko and get totally insane.meaning: i will never get there.Tsuruga castle is one of my favorites but,i have to plan a trip to
... fuji/kamakura/Tokyo/Aizuwakamatsu. That would be interesting.Oh...and Yokohama too !!!
maybe two years from now. ;P

i never use any kind of color filter or other thing than circular polarize.I like to have the original image and place/color.if i want something different,i use post-editing app.
see... if i like the angle or the photo but not the effect( like sepia filter),i can't do nothing after. But letting the photo clean ,i can always get something more. Not less ...

makes since. when i was trained, the guys training me (my dad and one of his photography friends - both masters) didn't have the tools we do now. i suppose i still tend to think old school in that sense. =) i actually like playing with all the filters i've collected from my dad. will have to get my hubby to teach me how to really use photoshop and such.

i think it's the best way to learn, kicking old school.
i don't know much about photography,it's not like a want to look humble,i just use a basic knowledge of camera that you find anywhere today in the net and,of course my way of viewing things ( which yo cannot find anywhere in the net ) :D
My special ingredient ;P
