Today is the valentines day ,here in Japan they organize the things quite differently but,it may have the same "endings". in march we have the "white day" that , is the "reply" day for the men who got chocolate as a present today. the meaning is like that . :
today as you may have seen in the anime like "shana",the women cook (most buy) ,a chocolate to a friend or someone you want want so this someone may response your "offer" (.. gasp..) by / - / replying the chocolate in the white day (april).
pretty simple , traditional and quite yumi !
this is the thousand "origami tsuru" that are made as a promise for something you wish,or actually,if you do that you may deserve a wish, truth being told.
wow that's cool how japan celebrates v-day! here (in america) it's so commercialized like christmas. i hate it. the media tries to pressure people into thinking that flowers and candy aren't enough - you have to buy expensive gifts as well!
valentine's day is my wedding anniversary. 5 years!

Instead there is a day similar to Valentines, on June 12th. I think the name can be translated to 'Lovers Day'
Anyway, very beautiful pic!!!
on the note of valentine's day in japan, does a male need to return a gift to females that gave them gratitude chocolate?
thanks
for you too!!!
